A man in Yakutsk set fire to a carpet at the entrance to the local government building. This was reported on the official website of the republic with reference to the Director of the Operational and Technical Service Dmitry Semenov.
“On January 6, at about 04:00 am, a drunk man set fire to the carpet at the entrance to the buildings of Government House 1 and Government House 2. Nobody was hurt,” the report says.
In the video, which was published by the REN TV channel, a man sets fire to the carpet, explaining his act of solidarity with the people of Kazakhstan.
“Kazakhs, we are with you,” he said.
Protests in Kazakhstan began after the New Year over the rise in the price of liquefied gas. Clashes began with the police.
