Zagorsk pipe plant produced 2 million tons of pipes

A jubilee pipe was produced at the Zagorsk Pipe Plant. The pipe with a milestone mark of two million tons under the number 21-66599 went out of production on December 22, exactly six years after the first pipe was released at the new pipe production in Peresvet. During this period, exactly 2 million steel passed through the plant.

The plant produces pipes for oil and gas pipelines, construction and housing and communal services, as well as piles and sheet piles for the construction of overpasses and bank protection. Even during a pandemic, the company managed to master new types of products, remaining the flagship of the industry, while maintaining jobs and social guarantees.

Last year, Zagorsk Pipe Plant JSC was the first in Russia to receive the API-5LD certificate and became the only large-diameter pipe manufacturer in the country that can produce certified bimetallic pipes in accordance with API requirements, resistant to aggressive media, including for hydrogen energy projects.

Also in 2021, the plant launched a new product line under the WallPi trademark – the production of integrated solutions for the construction of road infrastructure and marine infrastructure. These products make it possible to reliably equip port and quay walls that provide ice protection for port facilities in the Far North.

At the moment, the company’s management plans to implement projects to diversify production, including in terms of a significant expansion of the sales market.

“The idea to build the plant originated in 2008 and seven years later we built the most modern Russian pipe plant with environmentally friendly production and world-class products,” says Denis Safin, General Director of Zagorsk Tube Works.

He noticed that the first pipe went out of production in 2015, and now the plant has already sent 2 million tons of products to customers. “Pipe ZTZ is pipelines, construction, erection of bridges and port facilities throughout Russia,” Denis Safin emphasized.

“In 2021, we confirmed the quality of our products by passing API and TUV certifications. 2022 should be a landmark year for us: production will operate at 100% utilization, the plans of the enterprise include projects that will seriously expand our production capabilities and create the basis for further growth of the company, ”said the head of the company Denis Safin.
