The son of the billionaire Rotenberg has been appointed the new head coach of hockey SKA

The new head coach of the St. Petersburg ice hockey club (HC) SKA officially became Roman Rotenberg, who replaced Valery Bragin in this post, follows from the message on the HC’s website.

“In accordance with the decision of the club’s board of directors, in order to improve the management of the headquarters and the team, Roman Rotenberg has been appointed head coach. Valery Bragin will take the position of a senior coach, ”the club’s press service said.

Recall that Roman Rotenberg is the eldest son of the famous Russian billionaire Boris Rotenberg. At the same time, in SKA, Rotenberg Jr. previously held the positions of deputy chairman of the board of directors, vice president, general director, notes Lenta.ru.

At the same time, Roman Rotenberg is the first vice-president of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation. Previously, he worked as the head of the coaching staff of the Russian national team, and last season, during Bragin’s illness, he served as the head coach of SKA, TASS notes.

Currently, the St. Petersburg ice hockey club is in second place in the Western Conference of the Continental Hockey League (KHL), gaining 62 points in 44 games.
