Minutes before 7:00 p.m. on Monday 3, a new violent death was registered in the province of El Oro. This time it occurred in the Los Ceibos neighborhood, in the Puerto Bolívar parish, belonging to the Machala canton.
There, a man was shot to death while he was meeting with some people on a corner of the neighborhood.
Without giving him time to react, one of the individuals fired several shots with a firearm that lodged in the head. When they tried to give the victim first aid, his friends found that he lost his life instantly.
In that place he was approached by two subjects who were mobilizing on a motorcycle and shot him repeatedly.
The victim was identified as César Augusto Torres, 36 years old.
“The investigation units collected the evidence to determine the motivation for the death, this sector is considered a hot zone,” said Major Cristian Espinoza, head of Dinased of the El Oro Police.
The police chief explained that it is the fourth death in the first days of 2022.
