Llamas consume wooden housing in rural parish of Chone

The family had spent the day with relatives and when they returned home they found everything burned.

A family was left with nothing, after a scourge consumed their home, on Saturday, January 1, at approximately 6:00 p.m., in the San José neighborhood, belonging to the rural Convento parish.

Police and firefighters from the parish and Flavio Alfaro canton arrived at the scene of the emergency, but they could do nothing since the house was made of wood and cane.

Jefferson Wellington Segovia Aveiga, 40, a tenant of the house, stated that at the time of the scourge no one was at home, since they had spent the day with relatives.

With tears in his eyes and in despair, he stated that they lost all the belongings, including all the material from the vulcanizer workshop and that for years it was difficult for him to acquire together with his wife, since he is dedicated to repairing vehicle tires.

According to the preliminary report, the fire would have started from above and they are investigating if it was due to a short circuit.

Jefferson Wellington shared the house with his wife Ana María Vásquez Sosa, 32, and two minor children, who ask for help. (I)
