Putin allowed online lawsuits to be filed

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law allowing online court filing.

A statement of claim, complaint or submission is allowed to be submitted electronically through the “Gosuslug” portal or through the electronic document management system of the participant in the process.

The document allows you to remotely participate in court sessions through web conferencing systems, subject to their request for this and if there is such a technical possibility in the courts.

Earlier on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the owners of industrial enterprises to eliminate the consequences of a negative impact on the environment. Enterprises will now not be able to stop hazardous production without eliminating the accumulated harm to nature.

A law was also signed prohibiting the automatic write-off of social payments to pay off debts. Banks are prohibited from writing off one-time social payments from the state to pay off consumer loans without obtaining additional consent from the borrower separately for each such payment. Benefits and payments to citizens with children, pregnant women, payments to low-income citizens, etc. cannot be subject to recovery.
