The main fear concerns QR codes: the most disturbing regions have been “identified” in Russia

The most alarming regions of Russia are Moscow and St. Petersburg, follows from the results of a study conducted by the analytical department of the Public Relations Development Company (CROS).

According to experts, the main source of anxiety in 2021 was the COVID-19 coronavirus infection pandemic, and the related anxieties spread in the media and social media relate to either the continuation of the pandemic or measures to combat it, including vaccination, QR codes (on the first place for fears in the vast majority of regions), as well as other restrictions, RBC reports.

In addition, worries that have spread in the media and social networks include rising prices, environmental and climate problems, police and court actions in the context of protests, government pressure on social networks, an increase in violent crimes and concerns about the foreign policy situation.

At the same time, CROS experts indicate that the group of disturbing regions includes (in descending order, depending on the place in the rating): Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vologda Oblast, Perm Territory, Arkhangelsk, Novgorod, Tyumen, Sverdlovsk Regions, as well as Crimea and Krasnodar Territory. …

The top ten “balanced” regions include Kursk, Kaliningrad, Kaluga regions, Tatarstan, Trans-Baikal Territory, Volgograd, Tula regions, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Tver and Irkutsk regions.

Ingushetia, Chechnya, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Yakutia, Dagestan, Chukotka, Adygea, Sakhalin Oblast and Kalmykia were included in the number of “unperturbed”.
