Opposition MP from Tomsk Andrei Fateev left Russia

The deputy of the Tomsk City Duma, who supports the opposition, Andrei Fateev, left Russia. In his Telegram channel, he did not rule out that he would be subject to criminal prosecution.

Earlier on Tuesday, a deputy of the Tomsk City Duma, Ksenia Fadeeva, who was previously the coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters (The Navalny Headquarters movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). Searches were carried out at her house, in the country house and in her friend’s apartment.

According to TV2, Fadeeva is a suspect in cases of organizing an extremist community using her official position (part 3 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code – from 7 to 12 years in prison) and participation in the activities of an NGO that infringes upon the personality and rights of citizens (Article 239 of the Criminal Code – a fine up to 120 thousand rubles).

Her colleague Andrey Fateev decided to leave the country. “Unfortunately, I had to make a difficult decision to leave the country for a while. It is quite possible that a case has also been initiated against me. I did not inform about my departure in order not to endanger Ksyusha, ”the deputy wrote.
