Sobyanin: Moscow has one of the lowest rates for covid

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin assessed the situation with the coronavirus in the capital in recent weeks.

According to him, a serious decrease in the incidence rate has been noted in Moscow. “Now the city has one of the lowest rates for covid,” the mayor said at a meeting with the organizers and participants of the Center for Moscow Longevity in Vykhino.

In general, the situation with the pandemic, in his opinion, is difficult. In this regard, Sobyanin urged Muscovites to take care of themselves and get vaccinated, RIA Novosti reports.

He also said that in the outgoing year, despite the severe restrictions, Moscow continued to implement large infrastructure projects. “In Moscow we have found such a golden mean: to preserve people’s health, on the one hand, but, on the other hand, to live a normal life is also very important,” the mayor added.

Earlier, Sobyanin said that the capital is coping with the coronavirus pandemic better than many other cities in the world.
