United Russia deputy of the Tula City Duma detained in the case of large-scale fraud

Deputy of the Tula City Duma Alexander Boronenko (United Russia) is suspected of praying, namely, of receiving salaries for three assistants whom he fictitiously employed. The unlawful actions of the deputy were suppressed by the officers of the regional FSB. Boronenko was detained, the question of his arrest is being decided.

According to the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee, a criminal case has been initiated against Boronenko under the article “Fraud on an especially large scale”. According to the investigation, from October 2019 to December 2021, Boronenko arranged three people with his assistants who actually did not work. The money accrued to him as a salary and other payments with the help of bank cards was received by the deputy himself, causing the budget of Tula “damage on an especially large scale.”

Boronenko was born in 1990 in Tula. Graduated from RANEPA in 2014. In 2019, he was elected a deputy of the Tula City Duma of the sixth convocation. The website of the regional branch of United Russia states that Boronenko now works as the general director of Information Center LLC.
