The bailiffs told the citizens of which countries most often illegally live in the Leningrad region

225 illegal migrants were deported from the Leningrad region in 11 months of 2021. Such data are provided by the press service of the Federal Bailiff Service (UFSSP).

The department reminds that the deportation takes place by a court decision, and the basis is mainly a violation of the terms of stay in the territory of the Russian Federation or the labor legislation in force in the country. Illegal migrants are fined and forced to leave the country with an entry ban for up to five years.

The bailiffs escort them to Pulkovo and make sure that they follow their destination.

The UFSPP clarifies that most often citizens of Cuba, Nigeria, Iraq, Iran and neighboring countries live and work illegally in the Leningrad Region.

Recall that at the end of September, the leadership of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia announced that from the beginning of October the police would be empowered to expel illegal migrants from the Russian Federation who did not legalize their right to stay on Russian territory. At the same time, the department recalled the norms of federal law No. 115, which will also apply to visitors who did not have time to legalize. By that time, according to the estimates of the department’s employees, there were about 7 million migrants in the Russian Federation.
