The St. Petersburg court left in the colony the head of the sect, who promised everyone a “protective dome” for 20 thousand euros

The St. Petersburg City Court left in the colony the head of the occult organization “Order of the Way” Gaiva Tikhomirova and her assistant Tatyana Baranova, convicted of fraud. This was reported by the united press service of the city courts.

“The court of appeal changed the verdict in part, excluding the indication that the guilt of the defendants was confirmed by the testimony of the defendants themselves. The rest of the verdict was left unchanged, ”the press service said.

According to the press service, Tikhomirova, Baranova and their lawyers asked to cancel the sentence and send the case for a new trial.

In her last speech, Tikhomirova said that she had conducted trainings to “help people who find themselves in difficult life situations,” but did not personally receive money. She added that she “knows how to speak with archangels” and believes that she has been slandered.

Baranova said that she considered the sentence severe, since she did not manage the money and was not in collusion.

The victims and the prosecutor asked to leave the verdict unchanged, and the appeals were not satisfied.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that in August Tikhomirova and Baranova (Tyris) received 5.5 years and 3 years in a strict regime colony on charges of multimillion-dollar fraud. The court also partially satisfied the civil claims.

According to the case materials, in 2006 Tikhomirova created an occult organization “Order of the Way”, within which she conducted paid consultations and trainings. Only a person with higher education who bought a “protective dome” worth up to 20 thousand euros could become a client; for commercial organizations, the price of the “dome” reached up to 300 thousand euros. For “effective action” Master Gaiva and Tyris promised the victims to transfer money for “protection” to official Orthodox organizations, but disposed of them at their own discretion.
