The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) suppressed the activities of an illegal radical formation, whose leader proclaimed himself the president of the country and began to form a “shadow government” to overthrow the current government, 112ua.tv reports.
As stated in the SBU press service, “in Dnipro, the leader of the anti-state organization of the so-called“ democracy ”has been caught in public calls for the overthrow of the constitutional order of Ukraine.
According to the materials of the investigation, the attacker recruited like-minded people in the ranks of the “All-Ukrainian National Congress” and together with them formed a shadow government. Already at the first meeting, he achieved the election of himself as the so-called “President of Ukraine”. Moreover, the SBU pointed out, the conspirators’ grouping has appointed itself a “chairman of the Supreme Council”, “prime minister”, heads of law enforcement agencies.
We will also remind that in mid-August, nationalists held a protest action near the presidential administration building in Kiev. The radicals fought with the security forces, as a result of which up to 10 police officers were injured. Opponents of the current authorities burned flames and chanted: “Together and until the end!”
