Musical fireworks will be lit in the art space mArs

Jazz musicians Vladimir Volkov and Vyacheslav Gaivoronsky on Tuesday, December 28, in the art space mArs (Marsovo Pole, 3) will hold a New Year’s party “Musical Fireworks”. The event starts at 19:00.

The meeting will take place on the eve of the VIII VOLKOV ManiFEST Festival, which will take place from 3 to 7 January 2022 in Jaani Kirik (Dekabristov st., 54). The multi-genre festival of contrabassist, composer and improviser Vladimir Volkov will present outstanding jazzmen and neoclassicists. Theatrical performance, jazz, folk and baroque will meet on one stage.

Viewers of the apartment house in the mArs art space will have the opportunity not only to ask Vladimir Volkov and Dmitry Gaivoronsky questions about jazz and the festival, but also to hear works of various genres performed by them.

Vladimir Volkov is one of the best modern double bass players, performs alone and together with the Volkovtrio collective, regularly takes part in the performances of AuktsYon, Vyacheslav Gaivoronsky, Andrey Kondakov, Sergey Starostin, Arkady Shilkloper and others. In his sound experiments, Vladimir Volkov steps into completely different territories: he plays the early baroque, performs hits of minimalism, dubs films, and also collaborates with the theater – both as a guest musician and as an actor.
