The units will operate during special hours and with 75% capacity.
For the holidays of Christmas and the end of the year, the units of the Integrated Municipal Transport System, Trolleybus and Ecovía will work with special hours, reported the Metropolitan Public Company of Passenger Transport of Quito.
They will operate 195 units to serve 360,000 users, who use municipal transport on a daily basis. The buses will circulate with 75% capacity, in compliance with the provisions of the national Emergency Operations Committee (COE).
On December 24, 25 and 31, the hours are:
- Trunks from 06:00 to 20:00
- Feeders from 06:00 to 21:00
On January 1, 2022:
- Trunks from 08:30 to 20:00
- Feeders from 08:30 to 21:00
The Passenger Company clarified that the last trunk units will depart from the stations on their last turn at the closing time of the operation. The evening service remains suspended.
At the bus stops with the greatest influx of people, elements of the National Police and Metropolitan Control agents will be present.
The use of a mask is mandatory. It is recommended to open the windows of the units during travel. (I)
