Over 87% of 2,450 people answered negatively to Rosbalt’s question about agreeing to become radioactive ash (as interpreted by the propagandist Dmitry Kiselev) because of Ukraine.
A little more than 10% agreed with this prospect, according to the vote.
Almost 3% of the survey participants were undecided about this.
Recently, the Russian side has been conducting a tough polemic with NATO regarding the expansion of the alliance to the East and plans to admit Ukraine into it. Many observers started talking about a new Cuban missile crisis in relations between the Russian Federation and the United States.
In this regard, Russian TV presenter Dmitry Kiselev warned the West against the transition of “red lines”. He threatened that if NATO countries continue to create military threats to Russia, then “everything will turn into radioactive ash.” And if Ukraine becomes a member of the alliance, Moscow is ready to “hold a pistol to America’s temple,” he warned.
Meanwhile, President Vladimir Putin today, during his big press conference, did not rule out that Ukrainian troops began to prepare an offensive operation in Donbass (this has already been denied in Kiev).
“Now they tell us: war, war, war. One gets the impression that, perhaps, a third military operation is being prepared and we are warned in advance: do not interfere, do not protect these people … ”- the leader of the Russian Federation believes.
He also said that in the 1990s Russia was “cheated, blatantly deceived” when they promised not to push NATO eastward. One gets the impression that even after the collapse of the USSR, the West “considers the Russian Federation too big,” Putin noted, and called on the West to “immediately” give Moscow security guarantees.
