As part of the measures against coronavirus, the Emergency Operations Committee (COE) of Guayaquil resolved to incorporate the request for a complete vaccination card or PCR or antigen test result for mass shows, in event halls, convention centers, theaters and cinemas in the canton.
The vaccination card or a negative anti-COVID-19 test of up to 72 hours will be required in Guayaquil only for people over 12 years old.
In which places will a vaccination card be requested
- Entrance to theaters
- Entrance to cinemas
- Massive events
For the moment they are free of this requirement: supermarkets, shopping centers and the network of municipal markets.
The measure also does not apply to restaurants.

This measure will initially be applied for 60 days, starting on Wednesday, December 22.
Children under 12 years of age can be allowed access to these spaces without the need for this requirement set out at the local COE table. (I)
