At least three murders have been perpetrated in Guayaquil between Tuesday afternoon and early Wednesday morning.
At dawn this Wednesday in the Cristal cooperative, Guasmo sector, in the south of Guayaquil, a man was attacked with bullets while he was preparing to enter his home with his 10-month-old daughter in his arms.
The 31-year-old man died at the scene of the attack, as he received several projectile hits.
According to preliminary information, four antisocials who were traveling on two motorcycles perpetrated the attack in which the newborn was injured at the level of the thorax, on the right side.
The minor was taken to the Guasmo hospital and from there she was transferred to the Roberto Gilbert hospital, according to police data.
The baby’s father worked as a hairdresser and supposedly came home from work when he was shot outside his home.
“He was a quiet boy,” mentioned a neighbor who said that after the shots they heard the baby’s cry and went out to try to help her.
Likewise, shortly before 06:00 on this Wednesday, in the Trinitaria island sector, also in the south, a 25-year-old man was shot and killed.
The event occurred at the height of the first bridge on Perimetral Avenue. According to residents of the place, the victim was a homeless man who was frequently seen in the area.
The attackers, they counted, were four people on two motorcycles.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday afternoon in the rural Posorja parish, corresponding to Guayaquil, another man in his 40s was shot to death. The victim did not have a criminal record, according to the police, and would have left a rehabilitation clinic to make purchases when she was attacked. (I)
