The State Duma adopted in the second reading a bill providing for a number of obligations for drone owners, a Rosbalt correspondent reports.
Thus, amendments to article 34 of the Air Code propose registration of drones in the form of mandatory registration of registration marks on unmanned civil aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 0.25 to 30 kg.
It also introduces provisions on the certification basis – a set of requirements necessary “to ensure the safe operation of unmanned aircraft systems and (or) their elements, civil aircraft, aircraft engines, propellers and environmental protection from the impact of activities in the field of aviation.”
At the same time, standard designs of drones must comply with this basis, and their change is the responsibility of the developers, in some cases also the manufacturers. The order of airworthiness of drones will also be introduced, follows from the document.
The new rules will come into force on September 1, 2022.
