Named the most important “highlight” of the new iPhone

Apple will introduce a 48-megapixel lens in the new iPhone 14 Pro and a periscope module for the 2023 model. Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made such a forecast.

According to him, informs MacRumors, a 48-megapixel camera will be available in the older iPhone 14 Pro models. It will record video in ultra-high resolution 8K, which will perfectly match Apple’s augmented reality headset. Its launch is expected in 2022.

In addition, Kuo believes the iPhone 14 Pro will be able to support both 48-megapixel and 12-megapixel modes. This will be done by binning (combining) pixels. In this mode, the iPhone 14 Pro will shoot 48-megapixel photos in bright light and 12-megapixel photos in low light.

Kuo also said that at least one iPhone model in 2023 will receive a periscope module, which will allow Apple to significantly increase the value of optical zoom. The current iPhone 13 Pro is limited to 3x optical zoom.

We will remind, in November it was reported that another wave of electronics deficit is rising in Russia, and it has already affected the products of the American technology giant Apple. New iPhone shipments are 70% to 80% less than retailers need to sustainably meet demand, and buyers have to wait weeks. Difficulties also arose with the supply of smartphones Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, game consoles. Sellers and vendors associate what is happening with the shortage of components for electronics in the world market and the rupture of supply chains: many goods now reach the consumer only months later.

At the same time, business expects the normalization of supplies no earlier than the end of 2022.
