Driver, who tested positive for breathalyzer, ran over a traffic officer near the road to Daule

A driver who was in an alcoholic state ran over a civil agent of the Municipal Transit Authority on Camilo Ponce Enríquez avenue, at the height of Paseo Shopping on the Daule highway, according to a report from the entity.

In a statement, the ATM indicated that the driver was traveling on that road around 7:00 p.m. on last Friday and ran over the agent, who was controlling traffic in the area.

After the arrest of the alleged perpetrator, the flagrante delicto hearing was held before a judge, who issued preventive detention after verifying that the agent had a physical disability for 30 to 90 days, except for complications, and after reporting that the driver had tested positive in the alcohol test .
