In the early hours of this Saturday a traffic accident was registered in the Lumbisí interchange.
Today, Saturday December 18, at approximately 04:00, the Fire Department of the Metropolitan District of Quito was alerted to a traffic accident that occurred on the Ruta Viva, at the height of the Lumbisí interchange.
At the scene, Fire Department personnel were able to register the impact of two light vehicles: one of them was a lead-colored Suzuki Gran Vitara SZ; the other, a blue Volkswagen Jetta.
With the help of hydraulic equipment, the firefighters managed to rescue the two lifeless bodies of the two drivers.
In addition, the Legal Medicine staff arrived to carry out the removal of the corpses. Traffic officers also arrived to carry out the examinations of said accident. (I)
