The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inamhi) issued a short-term forecast of rains of variable intensity. This is how the rainfall will be of greater emphasis in the Litoral and Amazon region, in the early mornings of December 19 and 20.
In the Litoral, the rains will be light and moderate intensity in much of the region. To the north of the region (Esmeraldas and ManabĂ) they will be punctually high. In the Amazon region, the rains will be moderate and punctual high in the foothills of the mountain range.

Cloudy varying to occasional partial cloudy, scattered rains in the region especially in the north and interior of the region with some occasional storms. Occasional drizzles in the profile.
Sierra region
Partly cloudy varying to cloudy, rains and isolated showers. High daytime temperature.
Amazon region
Cloudy varying to partly cloudy, scattered rains with isolated storms. High daytime temperature.
Island region
Varying from cloudy to occasional partly cloudy, scattered drizzles. Moderate wind gusts. (I)
