Two explosions occurred in Elista within 24 hours. This was reported by the investigative authorities of Kalmykia and Telegram channels.
So, the first explosion was caused by one of the local residents – he blew up a psychological assistance center. According to investigators, the man had an argument with an employee of the organization and detonated an unidentified explosive device. As a result, he himself died, two more – an employee of the center and his relative – were injured, they were hospitalized in the republican hospital, the department of the Investigative Committee for Kalmykia specified. According to TASS, about 30 people were evacuated from the entrance to the building where the center was located. As a result of the explosion, internal partitions in the room were destroyed, glazing and doorways were damaged. The house is not gasified.
A criminal case was opened on this fact. It turned out that the 29-year-old attacker was registered at a psychoneurological dispensary.
Later, during searches in his private home, another unidentified explosive device went off, Telegram channel “112” reported, citing a source. As a result, three employees of the Russian Guard were injured and were hospitalized, the report noted. According to the Izvestia newspaper, one of the victims had his leg torn off, another had his face severely cut by shrapnel.
