Elon Musk stood up for Carlson, who was threatened with arrest because of an interview with Putin

American businessman Elon Musk called for the arrest of those who condemn US journalist Tucker Carslon for a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. X Musk published a corresponding post on his social network.

“Arrest those who call for reprisals against Carlson,” Musk wrote, commenting on the comments and statements of political figures and media representatives who condemned Carlson’s visit to Russia, RIA Novosti writes.

According to media reports, there have been calls in the United States for the arrest of the journalist because of his position.

Musk also promised not to block his interview with Putin, which, as noted, will be published on the social network owned by Musk.

Earlier, the Kommersant newspaper, citing American radio host and blogger Alex Jones, reported that Carlson interviewed Putin. The conversation lasted two hours. On February 6, Carlson himself confirmed that he intended to interview Putin in Moscow. The journalist added that almost two years after the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, “most Americans are not aware of the situation, they have no real idea of what is happening in this region.”

Let us note that the Russian leader gave his last interview to American journalists in October 2021 – he spoke with the host of the American CNBC television channel Hadley Gamble.
