The unsuccessful counteroffensive and problems at the fronts led to growing contradictions in Kyiv. This opinion was expressed by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, Interfax reports.
“The Kyiv regime has many problems, everything is wrong there – that’s clear,” Peskov added, noting that the failure at the front is to blame, which leads to growing contradictions among representatives of the Kyiv regime.
According to the press secretary, the Kremlin is monitoring the situation with the possible resignation of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, but “there are still many questions.”
Let us remind you that on January 29, Ukrainian media reported about the possible resignation of Zaluzhny, but the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the press secretary of the President of Ukraine denied this data.
The Financial Times wrote that Zaluzhny refused the offer to take the position of defense adviser, and The New York Times noted that Zaluzhny’s dismissal was postponed due to a leak of data about the resignation. According to The Economist, the head of the ground forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, and the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Kirill Budanov, refused to take Zaluzhny’s post. As a result, as the newspaper wrote, Zelensky, after pressure from the military leadership and “international partners,” changed his mind about dismissing Zaluzhny.
