Bloomberg: US leadership is considering a secret operation against Iran

The US leadership is studying the possibility of conducting a secret operation against Iran against the backdrop of a militant attack on a military base in Jordan, reports Bloomberg news agency, citing a source close to the White House. According to Bloomberg, Washington is considering a possible strike on Iran and an immediate attack on local officials.

Three US Army soldiers were killed as a result of militants backed by Tehran. The news agency source said that the Joe Biden administration, in turn, wants to respond more “strongly” to the attack than previously. At the same time, Biden said that the United States has evidence of Iran’s involvement in the attack on the American base. According to the President of the United States, a militant group under the influence of Tehran operates in Iraq and Syria.

The White House is considering many options for responding to the attack, including a secret operation to strike Iran.

The Tower 22 military base in northeast Jordan became a target of pro-Iranian forces on January 28. When carrying out the strikes, the militants used an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The Pentagon emphasized that an attack of this scale was the first since the start of Israel’s war with Hamas. The department clarified that among the soldiers there were not only dead, but also 34 wounded. Later, the radical movement “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” took responsibility for the attack.

Let us remember that the United States consistently supports Israel in its war against Hamas militants. At the same time, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, being an ally of Iran, is fighting on the side of Hamas.
