From February 1, 2024, a number of benefits and payments will be indexed for Russians. Who is waiting for indexation, said Nikita Chaplin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes.
He clarified that on February 1, more than 40 payments will be indexed to Russians, and they will affect 20 million Russians.
Firstly, maternity capital will increase: for the first child the payment will be 631 thousand rubles, for the second – 834 thousand rubles. Moreover, if the parents have already received a certificate and spent part of the funds, then the rest will also be indexed by 7.5%.
Also, from February 1, maternity benefits will increase: the maximum monthly benefit for child care up to one and a half years will increase to 49,123 rubles, and the amount of the benefit, taking into account length of service and earnings for 2 years, will be 565,562 rubles.
From February 1, the size of monthly cash payments for beneficiaries will increase by 7.5% – this applies to WWII veterans, Heroes of the Russian Federation, the USSR and Labor Heroes, Chernobyl survivors, and disabled people. Group I disabled people will receive a payment of 5,330 rubles, group II disabled people and disabled children – 3,806 rubles, for group III disabled people the amount will increase to 3,047 rubles.
In addition, unemployment benefits will increase – the minimum amount will be 1.5 thousand rubles, and the maximum amount will be 13,751 rubles, Chaplin added.
