Grechuta and Młynarski congratulated her on her talent, but she did not make a career in Poland. She returned to singing after many years

Marek Grechuta and Wojciech Młynarski personally congratulated her on her talent. The artists convinced her to keep singing, and that’s exactly what she did. However, Regina Rosłaniec-Bavcevic left Poland and came back after many years to sing again, mainly for pleasure.

It’s never too late to make your dreams come true, as proven by the “The Voice Senior” program dedicated to mature artists. The next edition shows that the participants’ years of experience teach them to reinterpret well-known songs, give them new meaning and move them again. The program features those who for most of their lives lacked the courage to sing in front of a larger audience, but also those whose careers did not go as expected.

She went to music school out of jealousy. On the route she met the love of her life

The participants of “The Voice Senior” included, among others, Regina Rosłaniec-Bavcevic, a native of Szczytno, about whom local media wrote about her participation in the program. “Ms. Regina comes from a very musical family from Szczytno,” says Joanna Gawryszewska from the Kreolia Foundation, who deals with local musical talents on a daily basis, in an interview with dziennikkszczytno.pl. “Her two sisters, Ania and Dorota, are also involved in music. Ania is a violin and singing teacher. She conducts classes. Dorota, in turn, runs an orchestra in Olsztyn,” she adds.

The information is confirmed by a note about the artist posted on the TVP website. “His child stopped crying only when she was given an iron cable – her first microphone. She went to music school only out of jealousy – she wanted to be like her sister who was already studying there,” we read.

The artist started learning violin, but she did not like this activity due to her very sensitive hearing. “She practiced with… cotton in her ears” – we learn from a note about the singer posted on the website of “The Voice Senior” program. According to dziennikseniora.pl, in 1983 Bavcevic won the qualifying round for a student song competition in Olsztyn and was qualified for the competition in Krakow.

Młynarski and Grechuta were delighted with her, but she did not make a career in Poland. She came back after years

It was here that Wojciech Młynarski and Marek Grechuta were impressed with the singer’s skills and predicted a great career for the artist. “I received congratulations from great artists. Młynarski and Grechuta took the trouble to personally come to my dressing room to tell me that this was the right path,” recalls Regina Rosłaniec-Bavcevic in an interview with TVP3 Olsztyn.

However, the singer quickly left Poland and found a contract in Yugoslavia, where she worked for a quarter of a century. She sang, among others, in local hotels. Today we will not find out what would have happened if Rosłaniec-Bavcevic had tried to develop her career in Poland, but her stay abroad was particularly valuable for reasons other than professional ones. At one of Rosłaniec-Bavcevic’s concerts in Split, she met her future husband – Josko. It was for the Croatian that she permanently moved out of Poland.

Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, the artist had a long break from singing – informs Telewizja Polska, but the love for music overcame the obstacles, and Roslaniec-Bavcevic went on stage again. The debut after the vacation that life forced on the artist was impressive. The singer appeared on the stage of the popular talent show – “The Voice Senior”.

No one will be surprised that the artist chose the hit of Kayah and Bregovic. Her version of “Sleep, darling, sleep” delighted the jurors. Three chairs were turned around during the blind auditions. “I didn’t see anything. When I sing, I close my eyes and sing for myself. Now for myself, because I used to sing for others too,” she recalls her appearance in a well-known program.

At the first meeting with Roslaniec-Bavcevic, the coaches were not satisfied with her unique voice. At Alicja Węgorzewska’s suggestion, apart from the great hit, the artist also performed a fragment of another, more operatic piece. She also handled it phenomenally.

Regina Roslaniec-Bavcevic’s singing has also been making a great impression on her sister, Dorota Obijalska, for years. “When he sings, I always have great emotions, I am a musician and I can appreciate these emotions in music. I teach the violin myself and I believe that it is emotions that distinguish musicians,” she says in an interview with TVP3.
