In the first reading, State Duma deputies adopted two bills on punishment for trash streams. This was reported on the website of the lower house of parliament.
The projects complement the article of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, which introduces administrative liability for persons distributing photo and video materials on the Internet depicting illegal acts.
Thus, public demonstration of a deliberate crime on social networks will become an aggravating circumstance. In addition, if the package is adopted, liability for committing 10 types of crimes may be tightened if they were accompanied by trash streaming: murder, intentional infliction of grievous, moderate and minor harm to health, beatings, torture, threat of murder or grievous harm health, kidnapping, illegal imprisonment, use of slave labor.
Violators will face a fine – for citizens from 200 thousand to 600 thousand rubles, for officials – from 300 thousand to 700 thousand rubles. It also provides for the confiscation of equipment for the production of such materials.
According to the head of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, “these measures will discourage anyone who wants to make money and become famous on the Internet by bullying others.”
