What must never be interrupted is hope, determination over fear and clarity in the perception of the extraordinary moment we are experiencing. Optimism must prevail despite all disasters. He has to survive on the drama of events, on the poison of news and half-truths from the networks, on the discouragement and fears of the mother of the family, the man on foot, the bus passenger, the worker who gets up early, the salesman, the informal, the student.

We must not let hope be dashed. There are testimonies that give us the certainty that this is possible: the National Police and the Army who take care of us, the determination of the Chief State Attorney Diana Salazar, who is a national example, officials and some judges, and others who are at the foot of the canyon, despite all the risks. It is them and there are many of us who believe in the country, despite all its tragedies.

Peace as a task

There are those who stubbornly persist in investing, those who keep jobs and pay taxes fairly, those who endure uncertainty that grows every day, and those who face floods, droughts, bureaucratic absurdities and political nonsense. There are those who care about the illusion despite all the denials, and who stay here, not leaving, overcoming fears and affirming the possibility of moving forward, even if everything looks dark and negative.

It is difficult to fight against discouragement when a barrage of bad news arrives, and if the poison poured into us by “highly intelligent characters”, analysts and other wise people, who have enough talent to increase the torment, close all the doors and argue tirelessly that nothing can be done , that there is no way out, that the Constitution does not allow it, that the doctrine… etc.

off the radar

It is difficult, but not impossible, if family, profession, work, our preferences and hobbies accompany us and make every day a challenge for us to continue and not give up. And say No to managers of absolute despondency. Uncertainty and fear are challenges.

There are days when the denials overwhelm us and the lies confuse us. Then life seems like a rough slope, such as a mountain range abounds. The only option, despite all discouragement and fatigue, is to overcome it.

Earths don’t stop; governments fall. Republics like the one we live in, which is ours, are not liquidated when the population is able to understand that the moral order is not to abdicate or surrender.

The determination of each individual is, moreover, the best mandate for the government, which will then know that the people it governs are in line with the resistance to barbarism; that the government must always be at the service of the people, that there is no place for party projects that are different from the one that defines that we are in the biggest mess in history and that the only option is to get out with dignity and the dignity that the circumstances dictate.
