After the crash of the Il-76, the State Duma called for starting the procedure for recognizing Ukraine as a terrorist state

State Duma deputy from Sevastopol and member of the International Affairs Committee Dmitry Belik called the attack of the Ukrainian Il-76 aircraft with Ukrainian prisoners of war on board “real state terrorism.”

According to him, Ukraine is engaged in “the destruction of its compatriots for political purposes.” The parliamentarian called for the country to be given the status of a terrorist state. In this regard, he proposed to begin the corresponding procedure.

“I believe that it is time for us to begin the procedure for recognizing Ukraine as a terrorist state,” RIA Novosti quotes Belik. “The destruction of a plane with prisoners is not just a single terrorist attack, it is the essence of Ukraine’s state policy,” the deputy noted, adding that Ukrainian prisoners could tell their families “an unsightly truth for official Kyiv.”

The crash of the Il-76 transport plane with 65 Ukrainian prisoners, who were being transported for exchange, was previously confirmed by the governor of the Belgorod region. According to him, no one survived.

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced the preparation of an address to the parliaments of Germany and the United States after the Il-76 crash. He said the plane was shot down “by the Nazi regime, nurtured by Biden, Macron, Scholz and other politicians.”

Let us recall that in October, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, reported that in total there were about 500 Russian soldiers in Ukrainian captivity. At the same time, the number of Ukrainian prisoners of war is estimated at 20–25 thousand.
