Rare cars from the garage of the US Embassy in the USSR are being sold in Russia

At the Russian car market, a real artifact of a bygone era with authentic Soviet license plates was put up for sale, which, by a lucky chance, managed to retain its uniqueness after standing in a garage for more than three decades, FederalPress writes.

The American SUV International Travelall 110 served as a vehicle for the staff of the American Embassy in Leningrad more than 30 years ago and today is a living testimony to history.

This unique car was released in 1973 and during its entire operation covered only 143 thousand kilometers. However, in 1993, its engine broke down, and since then the car sat idle in a garage until it was discovered by its current owner.

According to him, every detail of this car remains in original condition, from the 5.0-liter V8 engine to the 3-speed manual transmission, as well as the suspension with axles. Attention is also drawn to the presence of American instructions for the car.

But the real highlight is the fact that this rare car still has black Leningrad license plates, which were assigned only once – in 1976, when the car was first registered. The owner of the car moved to Yalta with this car, and the car spent 25 years in the garage with its owner.

The author of the ad is confident in the value of his car and intends to sell it for a million rubles without being subject to haggling. He is confident that this car will attract the attention of collectors and fans of automotive history, because it combines rich history with originality in the details.
