Ukraine in 2024 will face an economic crisis, as well as difficulties on the battlefield. Russian experts unanimously declare this; a selection was compiled by the MK newspaper.
At the same time, they are confident that the West will not abandon Kyiv, although NATO countries are now in a difficult situation. So, for example, says military expert, head of the Center for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts Andrei Klintsevich. He believes that by the end of 2024 Ukraine will have the forces and means to fight and even attack. European countries will provide assistance to Kyiv.
His colleague, military expert, director of the Air Defense Museum Yuri Knutov adds that “the United States will do everything to keep Ukraine in its orbit,” as evidenced by the arms deliveries that are planned and carried out to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, at the front there is now a turning point in the nature of combat operations, in the forms and methods of armed struggle on both sides, military experts admit. They emphasize that if the Russian Federation is increasing its resources and generally holding the defense and attacking, then for the Armed Forces of Ukraine without financial and military support, the winter and the subsequent year 2024 will become extremely difficult, and changes on the battlefield in favor of the Russian Federation may occur as early as the beginning of this year .
And although there is a possibility that Kiev may decide to launch a counter-offensive-2, it is unlikely that its outcome will be positive for Kiev, experts believe, recalling that the Ukrainian Armed Forces failed the first operation last summer, although then they were full of strength and well armed, unlike the current one state of the army.
There is a chance for negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine in 2024, but dialogue is unlikely to be possible, experts say. They do not exclude that in the coming year the Russian Federation will be persuaded to some kind of negotiating position in order to freeze the conflict and provide an opportunity to build up and rebuild the armed forces of Ukraine. But in general, with or without negotiations, there will be no peaceful existence with Ukraine in the near future, analysts conclude.
