St. Petersburg opened the New Year’s hospitable season at the “Russia” exhibition at VDNKh

A varied program is presented at the St. Petersburg stand at the international exhibition “Russia” during the New Year holidays. Here until January 8 under the slogan “The city where fabulous mood is born!” The hospitable season is underway.

The mood is set by the design of the stand itself – a copy of the Palace Bridge acquired a New Year’s look thanks to lighting and festive design elements, the hanging objects of the exhibition were replaced by the plot of the fairy tale “The Nutcracker”. The New Year’s fairy tale itself is also presented at the stand – and even in an immersive format, which involves involving the audience in the action taking place.

One of the main centers of attraction of the exhibition at VDNKh these days has been the sparkling main Christmas tree. One of the toys decorating the fairytale tree is from St. Petersburg. One of the most recognizable symbols of St. Petersburg – the Bronze Horseman – is placed in the center of a unique handmade glass ball. As conceived by young St. Petersburg designers, it is used in the design of the entire exposition of the city on the Neva, emphasizing the versatility of the Northern capital, symbolizing the inextricable connection of the city’s historical heritage with its modernity and innovative development.

From January 3, at the St. Petersburg stand in the space of Doctor Pel’s Pharmacy, master classes and quizzes await exhibition guests. Everyone will have the opportunity to test their perfumery skills and knowledge of the aromas of medicinal plants, practice calligraphy writing signatures – labels for New Year’s “pharmacy” drugs, draw a colorful New Year’s Griffin – the symbol of the oldest pharmacy museum.

Until January 8, guests of the stand will be able to create their own unique Faberge egg using a neural network. To do this, you will need to answer several questions from the chatbot and wait for the result to be generated on a special wall screen. The organizers of the project decided to show what a Faberge egg might look like in various artistic styles, including modern ones – steam punk, pop art, biodesign, etc.

Let us remind you that in On New Year’s Eve, a big concert with the participation of Russian stars will take place on the main street stage of VDNKh. And the New Year’s celebration at the Russia exhibition will begin at 14:30 – and will include the celebration of the arrival of 2024 in each of the country’s time zones. The first guests will be able to celebrate the New Year for Chukotka and Kamchatka – at 15:00 Moscow time, and the last – for the Kaliningrad region, at 1:00.
