The Christmas allegories are taken from various corners of Cuenca. This is how the city looks on these December nights

This year, the Iluminar municipal Foundation decided to concentrate the Christmas allegories in two spaces, one in Miraflores Park, located in the north of the city, and Parque de la Madre, next to the Tomebamba River, near the El Barranco area.

The first space is ideal for walking as if it were a Christmas circuit. In the area the tree, a path of luminous flowers, the giant nativity, angels, rabbits and other structures alluding to the season such as a 10 meter high light bulb and also letters with messages of peace converge.

Meanwhile, in the Parque de la Madre there is a chapel of light, the simulation of a hot air balloon and a large boot. Those who wish to walk a little more can go to Turi, Cuenca’s natural viewpoint that was inaugurated last Sunday.
