The Ukrainian bureau of Interpol refused to declare on the international wanted list the former prosecutor of Crimea, now the Russian ambassador to Cape Verde, Natalia Poklonskaya, who is suspected of high treason in Ukraine. This is due to the fact that such actions are prohibited by the very charter of Interpol.
This organization is prohibited from carrying out any interference or activity of a political, military, religious or racial nature, according to a response from Interpol.
Earlier, the Kiev Court of Appeal in Kiev issued a permit for the detention of Natalia Poklonskaya, satisfying the request of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba promised that he would never “leave alone” Poklonskaya, and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry itself announced that he would get to the former Crimean prosecutor, who had sworn allegiance to Russia, “even in Africa,” where the Republic of Cape Verde is located. … As for Poklonskaya, she jokingly replied that even after a hypothetical abduction by Ukrainian or American special forces, she was ready to become the Russian ambassador to Ukraine.
