In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the city court fined a 60-year-old woman who accused the Russian military of crimes during the military operation in Ukraine and listened to songs in Ukrainian at work, RBC reports, citing a court report.
According to the department, the woman works at the market on 50th Anniversary of October Avenue. During her work, she “made statements that contained insults against Russia and Russians, and accused the Russian army of violence and murder of civilians during a special military operation.”
Market workers who were present at the court hearing stated that the accused did this more than once. “In addition, the woman demonstratively listened to songs in Ukrainian,” the court added.
The woman was charged under Part 1 of Art. 20.3.3 Code of Administrative Offenses (public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Russian Armed Forces). “With her statements, citizen P. created the preconditions for citizens to form a negative assessment of the special military operation,” the press service explained. As a result, she was given a fine of 30 thousand rubles. The defendant did not admit guilt and stated that she was “incriminated because of the hostile attitude of those around her.”
