Russians choose jewelry and accessories for cars as ideal gifts.

Experts from AlfaStrakhovanie conducted an analysis to find out how much Russians plan to spend on the New Year, what gifts they consider ideal, and what they want to save on.

The study, the results of which are available on RT, found that the majority of Russians (75%) plan to spend up to 30 thousand rubles to celebrate the New Year. A little more than half of this amount will go towards food, drinks, decorations and fireworks, while the remaining money will be spent on buying gifts.

Russians prefer to purchase gifts in advance, with 52% doing this in November, 29% placing orders in the first half of December via the Internet, and the rest preferring to do everything at the last minute.

Experts note that the most money is spent on gifts for children – 34% of total spending on gifts. In second place are gifts for parents, occupying 27%. The rest of the money is distributed for surprises for grandparents, friends, colleagues and even pets.

The respondents believe that the ideal New Year’s gift for women is jewelry (19%), perfume (12%), cosmetics (11%), gadgets (10%), clothes and shoes (10%), and accessories (9%) . For a man, respondents consider various car accessories and gadgets to be the ideal gift (11% each).

Having studied the results of the survey, experts found that Russians mainly plan to save on fireworks – this was the answer of 30% of respondents. In total, more than 1.2 thousand people participated in the survey.
