Psychologist Natalya Naumova, specializing in child and family psychotherapy, emphasized in an interview with RT how risky the presence of weapons can be in families with children, and explained the characteristics of children with deviant behavior.
Naumova defined deviant behavior as disobedience of parents and immoral behavior of the child. She stressed that it is not always a psychiatric disorder, although it can sometimes be associated with one. Deviant behavior can also be the result of abuse within the family, which can trigger inappropriate behavior in the long term. The psychologist emphasized the difficulty of predicting in which family a child will display deviant behavior.
Naumova noted that a high level of cruelty towards animals or plants at an early age may indicate potential danger. In her opinion, children who show cruelty towards living beings are at risk. However, the reason for this behavior, as Naumova noted, often lies in the child’s abuse within his family.
The teacher also emphasized that in any family with children, the presence of weapons is dangerous. She noted that it is especially important that parents take care of the safe storage of weapons, since even a healthy and inquisitive child at some point can inadvertently use them and cause harm to others. Thus, Naumova concluded that caution when handling weapons should always be at its best.
