More than 80 migrants detained after a brawl at the Sadovod market

After a clash at one of the Moscow markets, police detained more than 80 people for damaging a Ministry of Internal Affairs vehicle while obstructing the arrest of a suspect.

It all happened last Friday, December 15, on the territory of the Sadovod market in the capital’s Kapotnya district. According to MVD-Media, when checking documents, the driver tried to escape in his car and dragged a policeman behind him for several meters, who tried to detain him. After which the young man got out of the car and hit the policeman several times.

During the arrest, the driver, according to preliminary data, suffered an epileptic seizure. At that moment, a group of aggressive people approached the police officers and tried to fight off the detainee. The attackers also cut the wheels of the official car.

As a result, additional police were called to the scene of the brawl and several warning shots were fired upward. After the end of the conflict, police detained 82 people and took them to the territorial departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up against the migrants (Article 20.1 “Petty hooliganism”, Article 18.8 “Violation of migration legislation” of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation).

A criminal case was opened against a 21-year-old visitor from Tajikistan who hit a policeman under Part 1 of Art. 318, art. 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
