In Russia, demand for New Year’s costumes increased by 10%

On the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays in Russia there is a noticeable increase in interest in festive costumes. According to analysts, this year Russians have increased the demand for New Year’s costumes by 10% compared to the previous year.

Interestingly, the average price for Father Frost and Snow Maiden costumes is 3,230 rubles, while children’s costumes are available at prices ranging from 500 to 1,000 rubles. This may indicate a more serious approach to celebrating the New Year and Christmas holidays among adults, writes FederalPress.

Among children’s costumes, the most popular are images of foxes and princesses, sales of which increased by 27% and 23%, respectively, compared to last year. Particularly notable is the Peppa Pig costume, which showed a 45% increase in sales over the month.

As for boys, the most popular images were dragons (+166%) and musketeers (+41%). In addition, among the top popularity are the costumes of Carlson, the hedgehog and the tiger cub.

Adults also did not stand aside and in 2023 they prefer costumes of unicorns and cartoon characters.

Thus, Russians are actively preparing for the new year, and the choice of costumes for the holidays becomes more varied and interesting every year.
