The trio explains the interruption of Margański’s broadcast. “Absolutely Decision”

On Wednesday evening, Micha³ Margañski, at the request of the director of Polish Radio, interrupted the broadcast on Trójka. During the program, he played a recording consisting of the best statements of former and current journalists. Now the spokesman for Polish Radio explains the decision of the director of the radio station, justifying this move as a reaction to Margański’s “arbitrary” action.

The spokeswoman for Polish Radio explained in an interview with Wirtualne media why the director of the station decided to remove Michał Margański from the air. On Wednesday evening, during the “AnagrammarganA” broadcast, the journalist played a several-minute-long compilation of the best texts and mishaps of his colleagues from the station – both former and current. At some point he received a phone call from Marcin Wąsiewicz, who . “I expected that something might happen, but I didn’t expect that I wouldn’t even be able to say ‘backwards’,” the journalist reported. Margański ended the broadcast without a word of explanation, playing electronic music, which was broadcast on Trójka until midnight.

Trójka explains the decision of the director of Polish Radio

Virtual media asked the spokeswoman for Polish Radio to comment on this matter. Monika Kuś reported that Margański changed the nature of the program without prior consultation with his superior. “It was an arbitrary decision by editor Margański,” the spokeswoman explained. “In the event of an arbitrary transformation of a music broadcast into a program of a different nature – which results in a disruption of the proportion of genres – the broadcaster is obliged to react,” she continued.

Another reason why it was decided to interrupt the broadcast was the journalist’s misleading announcement. “In the context of journalists mentioned by editor Margański as dismissed and people who resigned from working in Program Three, the author used the voices of journalists still working in Trójka,” said Monika Kuś.

Radio Three’s problems

Radio Three has been struggling with the crisis since 2015. After the Law and Justice government took power, almost all leading journalists disappeared from the station. First, Magda Jethon, Jerzy Sosnowski, Anna Gacek and Dariusz Rosiak said goodbye to the station. Later, Wojciech Mann, Marek Niedźwiedzki, Hirek Wrona, Piotr Metz, Michał Olszański and Piotr Stelmach also followed in their footsteps.
