A large-scale event “Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin” has begun at Gostiny Dvor, during which Russian President Vladimir Putin will answer questions from Russians and journalists.
The event is held in a combined format of a live line and a large press conference. Previously, the combined format was used only once – in 2020, due to the pandemic. In 2022, the direct line and press conference were not held.
The moderators are presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, host of the Russia-1 program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” Pavel Zarubin and his colleague, Channel One presenter Ekaterina Berezovskaya. Answers to questions from Russians and journalists will alternate. Representatives of Russian and foreign media accredited in the Russian Federation are present in the hall.
Questions for the president began to be accepted on December 1, their number is about 2.5 million. Work on appeals that will not receive coverage during direct communication with Putin will be carried out over the next months. As the Kremlin emphasized, all of them will be worked out without fail.
According to Peskov, Putin always carefully prepares for such events on all blocks of topics that interest Russians. This year, most of the questions concern a special military operation. In second place are social issues, especially health care.
