Micha³ Szpak in bitter words about cooperation with TVP. “I’ve been blacklisted”

has been active in Polish show business for many years. The charismatic singer gained fame thanks to his appearance in the first edition of the “X-Factor” program, where he took second place. However, he did not rest on his laurels, a few weeks later he performed at the “Orange Warsaw Festival”, and in the fall he took part in the 13th edition. After these events, she became interested in the singer and offered him the position of a juror in the program. Szpak accepted the invitation and at first his cooperation with TVP went really well. Only later did he begin to feel the effects of the changes taking place in the political arena. The producers of “The Voice of Poland” were to pay more and more attention to his expressive stylings. The problem arose during recordings for the new TVP schedule, when Michał Szpak appeared with a rainbow stripe pinned to his pants. According to the singer, all shots showing an element supporting the LGBTQ+ community were omitted in the editing process.

After this event, Michał Szpak was to be checked before each visit. “On “The Voice” itself, I was also noticed many times and my wardrobe was searched. Later, there was also a custom that before going out, you had to show up and take a photo of your outfit, so that a rainbow wouldn’t fall out of your earring, for example, or from your sole or part of your underwear,” he confessed.

However, the beginning of the end of cooperation with Telewizja Polska was Michał Szpak’s performance in the widely commented play “Forefathers’ Eve”. “After this event, I was blacklisted. I was never invited again, which does not change the fact that I would never accept the invitation at that time. I was not offered to participate in ‘The Voice of Poland'” – he summed up in an interview with Magda Mołek.
