Three days have passed since the terrible tragedy in the Bryansk gymnasium, but neither the children, nor the parents, nor the teachers can recover from what happened. One of the teachers, physical education teacher Maxim Korabets, tried to reconstruct the picture of that terrible day, December 7, minute by minute, writes the portal ngs.ru.
A 33-year-old physical education teacher was teaching a 9th grade class in the gym on the second floor. At the same time, 8th grade students entered the office on the fourth floor; a biology lesson was to take place – it was taught by 26-year-old teacher Ofelya Mkrtchyan. Ten minutes later, shots were heard at the school.
Korabets stated that he did not hear them, but learned about what happened from a frightened student. “You could see in his eyes that this was not a joke. I sent my children to the locker rooms and began to close the hall. While I was closing it, another one came running with a request: “Let me in, save me!”,” the teacher said.
He added that cries for help began to be heard from above. It was the voice of a biology teacher who begged to save the executed student. The physical education teacher closed the children and ran upstairs. According to him, the first person on the floor he saw was a boy bleeding. “I didn’t know how serious his injury was. “I just sat him down on the floor and told him to close his wounds,” the teacher added and, in his words, ran on.
When Korabets entered the biology class, he said, the girl was lying on the floor with wounds and was still alive. The teacher helped her as best he could: he pressed the wound with a rag and tried to talk. The police arrived almost immediately, but they could not help the child – she needed resuscitation. “We were waiting for the ambulance. But they didn’t wait. She drove for about 40 minutes. I didn’t have a watch, but it felt like the girl was definitely alive for about 25 minutes,” Korabets noted. In his words, “she looked, she breathed.”
The teacher admitted that the only question that still worries him is why the doctors took so long to travel.
It later turned out that the shooting at the school was carried out by an eighth-grader who came to the building with a Bekas-3 hunting rifle. She entered the biology class and almost immediately began shooting at her peers, eyewitnesses said. As a result, five people were injured; another, a 13-year-old schoolgirl, could not be saved. She died while waiting for an ambulance on the classroom floor. The girl who carried out the shooting committed suicide. Two wounded boys were taken to Moscow by a special plane of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, three more children are in the regional hospital.
