The US general admonished the Ukrainian special forces soldiers with the words “cut the throats of the Russians” at night. The American edition of The Washington Post writes about this.
According to media reports, the call was made in 2022 during exercises in the German city of Wiesbaden. The ex-chairman of the US Armed Forces Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, addressed the soldiers, the publication clarifies.
“There shouldn’t be a single Russian who goes to bed without wondering if his throat will be cut in the middle of the night,” the general was quoted by the media, excerpts from the material cited by Life.
The publication notes that by doing so, the general wanted to inspire Ukrainian special forces to conduct operations behind the lines of Russian troops in new regions of Russia.
Let us remind you that Russia has been conducting a special operation on the territory of Ukraine since February 2022. Since the summer of this year, Kyiv has attempted a counter-offensive, but success has not been achieved in any direction, the Russian Ministry of Defense noted. The day before, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, announced the failure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, neither the total mobilization announced by Kiev, nor the supply of Western weapons and the introduction of strategic reserves into battle changed the situation on the battlefield, but only increased Ukrainian losses. “In six months of the so-called counteroffensive, the enemy lost over 125 thousand people and more than 16 thousand units of various weapons,” he explained. As Shoigu emphasized, Russian troops are “expanding control zones in all directions.”
