Miros³awa Krajewska-Marczewska is dead. The actress has had many theater, film and TV series roles. She starred, among others, in the hit Bareja. She died at the age of 83.

Krajewska’s children – Katarzyna Kozak and Marcin Marczewski – informed PAP about the actress’s death. The Rampa Theater, where the actress had the opportunity to perform, also published a farewell entry on social media.

“It is with great regret that we inform you that actress Mirosława Krajewska died today. She cooperated with our theater, performing in the following performances: “Seventh – steal less” by Dario Fo, directed by Jan Prochyra and Jan Szurmiej (2003), “Sztukmistrz z Lublin” by Isaac Bashevis Singer, directed by Jan Szurmiej (2004) and “Awantura o Basia” by Kornel Makuszyński, directed by Cezary Domagała (2013),” we read in a post on Facebook.

Krajewska was born in Warsaw in 1940 and studied here. In 1974, she was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit. In the years 1962-64 she performed at the Silesian Theater in Katowice, then until 1997 at the Dramatic Theater in Warsaw. The actress died on December 6 at the age of 83.

The actress came from an artistic family. Her mother, Daniela Makulska, played at the Young Spectator Theater in Wrocław, the Polish Theater in Bydgoszcz and the Teatr Ziemi Mazowiecka in Warsaw, then moved to the stage of the Rozmaitości Theater. She also had numerous film roles. Krajewska’s daughter – Katarzyna Kozak-Paszkowska and granddaughter – Agata Paszkowska are also acting.

Mirosława Krajewska is known to young viewers from numerous fairy tales where she provided the voice for their favorite characters. She dubbed characters in the animation series “Looney Tunes”, cartoons about Donald Duck, Tom and Jerry and “Sesame Street”. She was the Good Fairy in “Cinderella”, Mrs. Teapot in “Beauty and the Beast”, the Stepmother in “Snow White” and Agatha Cromwell in “Halloween Town”.

She became famous on the big screen thanks to the famous comedy by Stanisław Bareja, “Brunet in the Evening”. There she played Irena Kowalczyk, Anna Roman’s sister, and appeared alongside contemporary stars such as Wojciech Pokora and Krzysztof Kowalewski. The actress also had numerous episodic roles in Polish series. She played in “M jak miłość”, in “Colors of happiness” she played the role of Gniewosz’s grandmother, and also appeared on screen in “Kryminalny”, “Plebania” and “Na dobre i na evil”.
