St. Petersburg received an award for exposition at the Russia exhibition

The St. Petersburg stand was included in the top of the most interesting and most visited at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia”. As RosBalt was informed by the press service of Smolny, during the first month of operation, the exposition of the Northern capital, located in pavilion No. 75, was visited by more than 200 thousand people, 60% of whom were children and youth.

The award was presented to the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov for his contribution to the creation of a unique exposition by the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Russia Exhibition Sergei Kiriyenko.

“This is an award for the entire team that prepared the St. Petersburg exposition for the exhibition. Our city was built by the will of Peter the Great. Today our president continues his work and defends the same values. The “Russia” exhibition is a large-scale project, which was implemented on behalf of the head of our state,” emphasized Alexander Beglov.

He also noted that today St. Petersburg is developing intensively. “We are preserving our historical heritage and at the same time building a metropolis of the 21st century, a city where it is comfortable to live, work, and raise children,” the governor of the Northern capital emphasized.

The central object of the St. Petersburg exhibition is a copy of the Palace Bridge, the spans of which open every hour to music. In addition, the thematic season “Petersburg Sports” continues at the city’s stand, where famous athletes will be guests this week. St. Petersburg Day at the Russia exhibition will take place on December 23.

The international exhibition and forum “Russia” shows the country’s most important achievements in various sectors. 89 regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations presented their expositions. The exhibition takes place on the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024. During the first month of operation, it was visited by 2 million 125 thousand people.
