Russians warned against mixing champagne with other alcohol

Alexander Umnov, a teacher at the Department of Fundamental Medical Disciplines of the Faculty of Medicine of the State University of Education, spoke about the peculiarities of drinking champagne, without which almost no New Year’s feast is complete.

According to the expert, the popular drink is strictly prohibited from being mixed with other alcohol. The teacher explained what could happen otherwise. “If you want to lose some of the cells of the heart, liver, pancreas and find an adventure in one place, go ahead,” the expert said in a conversation with “360”. In order not to harm the body, Umnov recommends drinking champagne without excess fortified ethyl alcohol.

The expert noted that when mixing champagne with other alcohol, the concentration of ethyl alcohol in the blood will increase significantly. The load on the urinary system also increases, and blood pressure rises, he warned.

In this regard, he banned the consumption of champagne for people with heart failure and heart rhythm disorders. In addition, it is better to forget about the drink for those who have been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and cirrhosis of the liver.

Previously, nutritionist Mikhail Ginzburg named foods and drinks that thicken the blood.
